Nansii Downer and her husband Bryan have 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. They came to Texas in 1996 and immediately went to work volunteering and serving in their community.

Currently, Nansii serves as the Member Engagement Director at the Northeast Tarrant Chamber of Commerce where she helps new businesses connect in the community. She is devoted to her community and through the years she has served on 6 different nonprofit boards within NE Tarrant County. She has served with the city mayors, congressional and senate representatives, city council, police and other government and nonprofit agencies to ascertain that the voices of the disadvantaged are heard. Her passion is to help people learn to help themselves and then help others. She and Bryan have pastored a Home Church for the last 10 years and she has published 4 books to date. Nansii is also an avid quilter.
